Sunday Dithers

Sunday again, hey?  They just keep coming.

Things are still pretty narrow-minded here at the Done Read household.  His Royal Tallness turned 30, Her Majesty The Small One continues to serve as a prop for hilarity, I finished a book.

you have spectacles coming at you from all your gene pools, fetus. Brace yo'self

In other, wider news, apparently more shit went down vis-a-vis YA authors lashing out against negative reviews?  Seriously people, the fire is hot.  DO NOT TOUCH THE FIRE for it is hot.  Watch as others touch the fire and are burnt.  Do not thou touch the fire.

Less angstily, blogger has introduced threaded comments!  Or so go the rumors.  But you have to have embedded comments, is this true?  This is a stupid true, if so.  Embedded comments are the worst.  VIVE LE POP-UPS!!  I will be making out with said threaded comments as soon as ever I can figure this out, and then YOU AND I SHALL HAVE CONVERSATIONS.

If you'll excuse me, my tiny boss summons me.  For the bored and/or interested, I blog more about her unreasonable demands here.  I will be back this week DURING THE WEEK NO LESS with thoughts on Lady Audley and her Secret (it's a good one).

Sunday on!

  1. Raych, I was just telling my kids that they better get ready to start wearing glasses. Our family was cursed with bad vision.

    Have a good week. :-)

  2. Threaded comments? That is the awesomeness! Also, maybe your baby will have the opposite luck of me, of near-sighted one born to a family of perfect vision.

  3. I wondered about that embedding thing. I've been told it is problematic. I did switch over but have yet to go look and see what havoc it created. Please tell me if it is a problem for you!

And yes, we must warn our offspring early when they are getting the short end of various gene pools. My daughter holds it against me that I gave her bad periods and big boobs and bad eyesight.

  4. I haaaate pop-up comment boxes. Er..except yours. That's obviously swell.

TINY BABY WEARING RIDICULOUSLY OVERSIZED GLASSES. THE HILARITY NEVER ENDS.

  5. Am obviously an addict to the baby blogging over at the citrusy blog, but CANNOT GET ENOUGH of the photos. Truly. However my opinion is probably pooh as I post regular photos of my fuzzy children.

No truer words have been spoken- they were all burned. Do not touch the YA fires, bad news. Instead grab a boozy drink and read and laugh and cry- privatly. Then gossip loudly to real live people where no internets recording every word.

Happiest of bdays and sundays to you and yours!

ps- my comments have threaded already, I have no idea what I did as I did nothing. But I've been a conversing and it is fine.

  7. Great picture! Whenever mine get mad at me about something, I make sure they know which parent to blame for that particular trait. I think it is about fifty/fifty between the man and me.

I am definitely trying to stay away from all blogger fire these days. Staying oblivious seems to be the best way to maintain one's sanity!

    Have a great weekend.

  8. I love when babies are used for props! Nothing funnier! : )

And I've been noticing lots of changes on comments on Blogger blogs … I guess the rumor is true!

  9. Keeps those cute and silly baby pictures coming. I can live vicariously through you. My babies are now little children who run around and drive me crazy. My womb is closed for business, so it's fun to see cute baby photos sans actual newborn in my house for which I am responsible.
