Sunday Dithers

Sunday is it?  Mon dieu.  I have done nothing this week besides learn how to feed and water a Human.  It is Serious Business.

Jeeves?  This boob you brought me has malfunctioned.  Fetch me another.

Things I am boss at: reading blogs at 2 am (write moar post, people), playing Words With Friends at 4 am, laughing at the fetus, eating.

Things I am terrible at: typing with one hand, reading actual books (still chomping at Lady Audley's Secret), sleeping.

I will come back to you, internet.

  2. Eight months later, I'm still playing Words With Friends like a fiend because I only play it when I'm feeding Ethan, which seems like it's all the time.

  4. Seriously, that picture is so cute and the caption so hilarious! It reminds me of when my babies were still wee. It's tough finding time reading with a newborn. I used to read during feedings, but it's sort of tough to do.

  7. You always make me laugh. See, upon the birth of my first, I was in tears the whole day because I felt awful and didn't know what the hell I was doing. You? You call your nose a boob. Haha! Now go back your business of feeding and watering!

  8. Love the picture.

I had plenty of time to read with a newborn but had a hard time with my attention span. No idea why. I put it in the same "blame it on the hormones" box as my insatiable desire for tomato-based food during the first trimester.

The bodies, they are strange indeed.

In any case, I found that short stories did the trick for me.

  12. I didn't get much reading done at first when the boys were born either. I was too busy fending off visitors with sticks. BACK, YE! *poke*

  15. I wish I had been blogging when my son was a newborn. All I came up with was watching Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reruns … and I didn't even like that show!

    Love the photo!

  16. Ooooh! Your baby is so cute! I seem to be surrounded by them in my life right now (best friend had one, coworker had one) but you can never have too many (well, yes, you can, but I can never surround myself with too many of OTHER people's babies, who I don't actually have to take care of).

Congratulations on yours! She's so precious!
