Sunday Dithers

Sunday sunday, kids.  So, my grandma died.  There's really no way to segue into that.  But she had a delightful last few months and conned us into throwing her a party (with hot wings) a few weeks ago, which was canny of her.  We got our first Grandma-less family gathering under our belt yesterday after the funeral, and the worst part about it was that there was so much food and Grandma wasn't there to exclaim over it.  She was a great exclaimer over things.

As a bit of an anodyne, I got to meet my sister's new furry child.

GEORGIE!  She is soft and mellow but still pees on the floor when she's excited to see you, which is mildy gratifying if a bit of a bad habit.  Also a bad habit?  Teaching her to howl.

We are all going to be terrible parents.

I'm off to meet Katie the Interrobanger for coffee, so this weekend tots up to two great things (three, if you count the family gathering, which I do [all that food!]) and one very bittersweet thing.  Thanks for raising us to love food and doggies and socializing, Grandma.  We missed you at this one, and we'll miss you at all the ones to come.

  1. Is George a Huskie? She is simply beautiful. Great pic of the howl.
